4-day Classical Greece tour

The tour will start with a short visit at Corinth Canal and the Theatre of Epidauros, famous for its remarkable acoustics. There will be a short stop at the town of Nauplion, a seaport town and the first capital of Greece before driving on to Mycenae where you will visit the Archeological Site and Tomb of Agamemnon.

Journey through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis which was once a commercial center and Megalopolis, famous for its theater. The first day will end at Olympia, where you will spend the night.

The second day begins with a visit to the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaelogical Museum. A drive through the plains of Eliad and Achaia will show you the magnificent bridge crossing the Corinthian Bay from the Rion to Antirion. You will pass by the towns of Nafpactos and Itea as you make your way to Delphi.

During the third day, visit the Archaeological Site and Museum in Delphi and head on to Kalambaka, a small town at the foot of the rock towers of Meteora (which you will visit during the fourth day of your trip). Admire the way the rocks seem to be suspended in mid-air and examine the specimens of Byzantine art.

On the fourth day, visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. The return to Athens will be via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae where there will be a short stop so that you will see Leonidas’ Monument across the road. Arrive in Athens early in the evening.
